The location of this video is the Landscape Park Duisburg Nord in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany). The park is a dismissed industrial plant that stopped working in 1985 and in the 1989 the idea of transforming it instead of demolishing it was born and so it became a recreational area with a lot of things to offer for the citizens and visitors: there is the largest indoor diving basin in Europe, there is a climbing garden which uses the walls and the towers of the old industrial plant, and of course there are walking trails with green areas with more than 700 plant species and places with overgrown vegetation which is taking back its space. My family and I went there a Saturday afternoon in august 2022. I like to photograph these scenes in black and white, especially during a sunny day, because I like to have deep defined shadows to play with to combine them with the shapes of the building but that day was overcast and so I had to work with a different type of light, I had less contrast to work with.
